Administrator Certification Form

Administrator Certification is where all the documents and information that a principal needs to cover with the staff can be located. It is a central spot for principals to find the resources.

Bell Schedule

The Online Bell Schedule is the system used to determine schools’ compliance with the District’s instructional minutes requirements. All District schools enter and certify their bell schedules in the system. In addition, Local District Instructional Directors or designees use the system to review and approve their schools’ bell schedules.

Classified Staff Evaluation

The Classified Staff Evaluation System contains the annual and probationary evaluation forms for classified hourly and salaried employees. This online process allows for the completion of the evaluation forms, workflow from the supervisor to the reviewer and employee, and allows access of up to 5 years of evaluations that were completed through this online process.

Certificated Performance Evaluation System (CPES)

Certificated Performance Evaluation System (CPES) is used to evaluate the following certificated employees: Adult and Career Education teachers, Pre K Special Education teachers, Special Education teachers in early education centers, Itinerant teachers, Out of classroom teachers (e.g., teacher advisors, deans, counselors, instructional coaches, academic coaches, teacher librarians, and coordinators), Out of classroom non-teachers (Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Therapists and Special Services personnel), and other administrators.

Discipline Foundation Policy System

The District’s Discipline Foundation Policy (DFP) establishes a framework for developing a culture of discipline built on positive behavior support and intervention. The School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (SWPBIS) fosters a culture of discipline grounded in positive behavior intervention. It is an approach to establishing the social culture, and individualized behavior supports needed for schools to achieve both social and academic success for all. The DFP website page provides valuable resources for supporting SWPBIS, Restorative Justice, the School Climate Bill of Rights and the Rubric of Implementation in schools.

E-CAR

E-CAR is LAUSD’s Capacity Assessment Review process for school facilities. Its purpose is to verify the number of classrooms at each school and how they are used, to calculate school operating capacities, and to identify available classrooms for future use. During E-CAR’s annual review period in the late summer/early fall, Principals, Assistant Principals and other authorized school-based administrators have the opportunity to review and update their schools’ classroom inventories and capacity assessments. The information gathered during E-CAR is shared with Facilities Division staff for its use in identifying potential planning and development opportunities, options and solutions, and with the Proposition 39 Manager for potential Proposition 39 offers.

E-CAST

E-CAST is LAUSD’s online school-by-school enrollment projection review process and web application. During E-CAST’s annual review period in the early spring, Principals, Assistant Principals and other authorized school-based administrators have the opportunity to review and respond to their schools’ enrollment forecasts using E-CAST’s online application.

Elementary Physical Education

As of August 15, 2016, LAUSD transitioned to a district-wide online certification process for all elementary schools to certify physical education instructional minutes. The CAL200 monthly online certification of elementary physical education instructional minutes is available to all elementary principals via the Principal's Portal. Principals and teachers are now required to complete and submit the certifications online. Teachers certify in the Teacher’s Portal. Principals have direct access to teacher's certification records via the Principal's Portal.

Emergency Drill Survey

Schools need a record of all their emergency drills. Both the Fire Department and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety audit and issue citations to schools for failure to comply with the mandated drill schedule. Schools can use the Emergency Drill Data Worksheet in the “Emergency Drills and Procedures” Reference Guide to record their drill activity. The worksheet can then be used to enter data on the LAUSD Post-Emergency Drill Survey website. Each completed survey generates a certificate of completion for the emergency drill log.

ESSA Principal Certification

ESSA requires timely notice to parents of any student who has been taught for 4 or more consecutive weeks by a teacher who does not meet applicable state or licensure requirements for the grade level and subject area to which the teacher has been assigned. Principals must certify that they have complied with this ESSA mandate.

EZ Access

Gifted/Talented Programs

The GATE link allows administrators/designees to access the online Annual GATE Report, Gifted/High Ability Magnet verification, TK Magnet verification, and GATE Resources.

Inspection Results/Self-Certification

Instructional Online Accountability System

Principals and school site EL Designees complete monthly submissions in the English Learner Online Accountability System (OLAS) as evidence of their required EL program activities. OLAS is designed to: (1) guide schools in the timely coordination of programs and services activities for English Learners, (2) assist schools in maintaining EL program documentation demonstrating that legal requirements were met, (3) serve as a school site monthly task calendar for the EL program, and (4) offer links to relevant district, state, and federal guidelines and documents.

Integrated Safe School Plan

The State of California mandates the preparation of school safety plans that address violence prevention, emergency preparedness, traffic safety and crisis intervention. A new format, the Integrated Safe School Plan, incorporates the latest federal guidance and autopopulate key information, eliminates redundant inputs, and has a shorter printout. All staff members at a school are able to view the emergency plan online.

Interscholastic Athletics Office

The Interscholastic Athletic Department is committed to work in partnership with the entire community to assure equity and provide services, opportunities and leadership necessary to establish and maintain quality high school athletic programs. The coaches, administrators and staff in the schools and offices believe in the equal worth and dignity of all students. The Interscholastic Athletic Department is responsible for establishing a climate which fosters the partnership between academics and athletics, promotes the value of high school athletics, assures that everyone involved with athletic activities is treated with dignity and respect, encourages collaboration with the Superintendent, the Board of Education and member schools.

Incident System Tracking Accountability Report

iSTAR is the District-wide electronic tool to report and document incidents involving students, employees, or the school community which occur on or near District schools and sites.

MiSiS is a modernized all-in-one student information solution that provides teachers, counselors, administrators, and others with access to student information all in one place. It is designed around the educational life of a student, bringing together attendance, assignments, grades, test scores, health, program eligibility, and more. It has the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving needs and requirements.

My Professional Growth System

My Professional Growth System (MyPGS) is the District’s online platform created to support its evaluation systems, Educator Development and Support: Teachers (EDST) and Educator Development and Support: School Leaders (EDSSL). Principals may use MyPGS to complete and/or conduct all EDST and EDSSL activities.

My Professional Learning Network

My Professional Learning Network (MyPLN) allows users to search and register for professional development, training, and online learning communities.

MyTeam

MyTeam is an online reporting tool which provides managers with access to timely, accurate and comprehensive employee information, user-friendly reports, and detailed data for customized analysis. Most commonly principals, local district and central office leadership use MyTeam to access staff attendance, assignment and evaluation histories. MyTeam sits on the same platform as MyData.

Parent, Community, and Student Services

Passport

Passport is an online tool that allows parents to gain access to information that can assist them in supporting their children’s academic success. Passport has data on attendance, grades, standardized test scores and many other areas. Parents can update emergency contact information, fill out forms and applications and contact their children’s teachers.

Parent Conference for PHBAO Schools & all Magnet Schools/Centers

The Parent Conference for PHBAO Schools and all Magnet Schools/Centers is an online tool that allows principals and/or designees to submit the Parent Conferences Program Participation Forms. These forms are submitted twice a year, once during the fall semester and the other during spring.

School Data Designee Form

A school data designee is the recipient of communication sent by central office in the specific area chosen by administrator to either correct, disseminate or monitor the integrity of student level data.

Promote Your School! This website includes templates for professional, eye-catching school brochures, posters, flyers, postcards and newsletters. Especially created for L.A. Unified, schools can now access and edit a variety of these templates to personalize their message for their community.

State Testing Program Requirements

State Testing Requirements is used to certify state assessment program requirements, which include submission of test security forms, identification of point-of-contact and testing coordinators, and completion of mandatory training.

Williams Sufficiency

The Williams Sufficiency Portal is a tool for principals and teachers to certify that students have sufficient instructional materials for the current school year.
